New addition to our Faithbooking series!

Fortunately For You Books’ Evangelist series will take your child on a journey of faith, trust, and service towards God the Savior. We believe every child should know of the men of God who had profound impact on the world.
In Evangelist Profiles, students will be learning about famous evangelists and their life stories. They will learn about what events triggered a life-long service to the Lord behind a pulpit preaching God’s Word to the masses. These men answered a special call from God for their lives and have wonderful testimonies to back up all they preached.

Our Walls of Time are a great way to get your older students actively involved in reading while creating some cool murals to show off afterward. These make for a nice portfolio presentation as well. The Long Way Home by Andrew Klavan

Thomas Nelson has provided me with a complimentary copy of The Long Way Home to review. I wasn’t sure how I would like this book but I have to say I had a hard time putting it down from the moment I started it. Charlie West, the main character, is a high school student that wakes up one day and finds that he can’t remember a whole year of his life. He’s also realized he has been accused of murdering his best friend and is being chased by the police and a terrorist group. His only way of finding out what really happened is to get back home and investigate things for himself.

I caught myself several times holding my breath during some of the scenes in the book. Nonstop suspense and lots of action, this book is worth reading. It is the second book in The Homelanders series. If you are cautious about the materials your child reads, this book has no inappropriate language and is clean. Charlie does find out that he had a girlfriend during the year he can’t remember, but it is only touched on and is kept at a very appropriate level. If you are looking for a great book that will keep your teenager's attention, this one would do it. Many adults may enjoy it as well!
