Read my review for Wonders of Old: A Blank Timeline Book of World History. This would make a very nice addition to any history program.

Pockets of Time for Hour of the Olympics: Magic Treehouse Book #16 is on sale now for $1.49. This would be a great activity to do while reading the book because the Winter Olympics have started! Even though we watch them every two years now, my son always gets excited for the Olympics (I enjoy them too!). Doing this activity while reading the Magic Treehouse book, can help provide lots of information about this topic. Kids naturally get more involved in a subject when it is interesting to them. Watching the Olympics on television, while reading other materials on this topic will make it more memorable. I love to catch the teachable moments. Sometimes they are hard to find and the Olympics is a great one to grab a hold of. There is so much to learn: math, history, sports, geography, reading, and much more! So get started today. Don't miss out on this great learning opportunity.

The movie, Alice in Wonderland, is releasing very soon. Be sure to read the book and use our Reading Records for Alice's Adventures in Wonderland before seeing it.
Alice is at the center of a fantastical journey. She meets some interesting and humorous characters in Wonderland such as the White Rabbit, the Mad Hatter, the Cheshire Cat, and many more! This fun book will keep your imagination going long after you have finished the story.
Use Reading Records for a literature study with this book. Reading Records is a comprehension program that use list making as the basis of gathering information. Believing list making to be one of the best tools we teach out children, we find and mark/record lists in every chapter. Vocabulary is taught and comprehension questions are also given.

Many of you know that I was a reviewer for The Old Schoolhouse Magazine's Homeschool Crew. I am still reviewing for them just not as a part of the Homeschool Crew. I also review for Eclectic Homeschool Online. I will be posting a link to the reviews I complete so that you can go and check them out. I have been very fortunate to review a lot of wonderful products and would like the spread the word about them to help you make decisions about what to purchase for your children.
